My Great Grandfather, Anderson Clinton Blanton, was known as A.C. to his co-workers. He is standing in front of his section crew in the Ottawa, Kansas Yards in 1898. I just love this picture. All the men have facial hair and the pipes are terrific. A.C. worked all his life for the A.T.S.F.R.R. He rose to a reasonably high position with the Santa Fe and retired to Chanute, Kansas.
